Role summary

With plans to gain more expansion in the future we are looking to onboard an outstanding financial Manager whose career goals and values fit our vision to grow African and other emerging markets by transforming local opportunities trough financial technology.  Our investors and partners are global, and we have operations in USA, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Mauritius and India.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities: The Regional Finance Manager is responsible for:

  • Regional Financial Strategy

  • Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Support to International Offices and transactions

  • Staff Management

  • Funding management

  • Cash management

  • Accounting Management

  • Financial Management

  • Training, Support & Advice to junior team members

  • Specific countries of operations financial and accounting management

  • Other as required by the function

Experience and Mandatory skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years experience managing accounting and finance activities

  • Familiar with trade (import/export shipping etc.), corporate finance, emerging market, start-up experience and process creation and implementation

  • Demonstrable experience with enterprise operations at a mid/senior management level with direct supervision of professional, support local and remote teams

  • Experienced in internal controls and audit

  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, comfortable with presenting reports for various C-suite, Directors, Board Members and investors

  • Able to integrate local reporting and investor management as well as financial analyses and corporate finance

  • Must have experience in at least one francophone African country (other emerging markets – China, India turkey, BRIC, would be advantageous)

  • Experience handling tax related issues in complex environments and emerging market government regimes

  • Must be willing and able to travel globally

  • Experience with procurement and supply chain would be a huge plus.

  • Working knowledge of OHADA as well as IFRS accounting system and ability to translate OHADA into IFRS would be a bonus

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting & Finance

  • Advance CA or ACCA or CPA Certification


  • Previous experience in start-up environment or entrepreneurial background.

  • Able to adapt to fast growing and changing environment and uncertainty

  • Working knowledge of portfolio management

  • Experienced in French African areas/OHADA able to translate it into IFRS and vice versa

  • Enterprise Software SAAS
